From a bunch of rookies in 2003 to National Champions in 2004.... The Avengers were born as the London Advertising League rookie team in July 2003. After two months of coaching and practice on the oh-so-flat pitches of Primrose HILL we were packed off to San Francisco to take on the Americans at their own game. They certainly taught us how the game should be played. In turn we taught them about our bar room amigo, Jose. On our return we added a few new friends to the original Ad League gang and became a fully fledged tournament team for 2004. Continuous improvement and growing experience culminated in us snatching the Comp C National Championships in September. What a way to send us out to San Diego to tackle our Mates In The States again! Our philosophy is simple - these are our weekends so fun is the priority. But we do enjoy winning....and celebrating!
